Jake and Sonya
Today we bid Farewell and Goodluck to the amazing Jake and Sonya!

For those of you who don’t know, Jake has been accepted in the Army so Jake and Sonya are moving to Canberra where Jake will be based for the next 18 months.

Sonya has been a member of Hallam since we opened our doors late Dec 2013, and early in 2014 dragged Jake along for a session and that was it! From then on the two of them have been a huge part of the CrossFit Hallam family!

Jake has had a big year at Hallam, you will remember him for his annoyingly perfect bar muscle-ups, his effortless legless rope climb ability, amazing barbell technique and of course his LOVE for sit-ups! Always a smiling face and known for getting in and the job done we will certainly miss ‘Jake the Push-up King’ around the box!

Sonya has also had an amazing journey this year, going from barley being able to OHS with a 15kg barbell to giving us all goosebumps as she smashed out the Showdown 2014 Final WOD which included heavy OHS which she did un-broken and then went on to take the win in the event!
She also achieved her first ring muscle up not long ago, a goal which she had been working on for months, as well as PR’s after PR’s especially in the last few months!

They have both signed up and competed for Hallam in several comps this year including the Frankston Teams Comp, All-Stars, The Richmond comp, the Showdown 2014 as well as most recently the Moorabbin Minibowl where Sonya finished in 3rd place!

We are certainty going to miss these guys around the place, and would love it if you can get in today and join in a fun partner WOD to farwell these 2 Hallam Champs!!

We wish you luck, happiness and success in your new journey in the ACT and hope that you will be able to pop back down to Hallam and say Gday when the opportunity arises!!

Love the CF Hallam Family!!!
